From the moment you arrive in Accra until it's time to return home, you'll be supported every step of the way. Your journey includes ten nights of accommodations across Accra, Kumasi, and Elmina, VIP airport arrival assistance, a domestic flight from Accra to Kumasi, private transportation throughout the journey, and the support of both dedicated hosts and trusted local guides.
By taking care of the details behind the scenes, we're able to create an experience that feels seamless from beginning to end, allowing you to immerse yourself in Ghana with confidence and ease.
Throughout the journey, you'll explore some of Ghana's most significant historical and cultural sites, including Cape Coast Castle, Elmina Castle, Manhyia Palace, and traditional artisan communities. These experiences are shared with knowledgeable local guides who provide the historical context, cultural insight, and personal perspectives that bring each destination to life.
You'll also take part in experiences that were intentionally selected because they create opportunities for deeper connection. Reservation Deposit Structure
Your place within the gathering is secured through a structured deposit process designed to support thoughtful planning while honoring the advance contractual commitments required to operate this intentionally curated experience.
Initial Deposit
$500 per person due at booking
Non-refundable and non-transferable
Deposit Completion
The remaining $1,500 deposit commitment is paid in three additional installments:
- $500 due 30 days after booking
- $500 due 60 days after booking
- $500 due 90 days after booking
All deposit installments are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Reservations are considered fully confirmed only after the full $2,000 deposit requirement has been received and processed.
Payment of the initial deposit secures a provisional reservation pending completion of the full deposit requirement.
Failure to complete any required deposit installment by the applicable due date may result in suspension or cancellation of the reservation, forfeiture of amounts previously paid, and release of reserved inventory.
Installment Payment Schedule
After completion of the full deposit requirement, remaining balances will be divided into scheduled installment payments as follows:
- October 1, 2027
- January 1, 2028
- April 1, 2028
Automatic payment processing may be utilized for scheduled installment payments.
All payment arrangements remain subject to the Terms & Conditions acknowledged during booking.
Final Payment Deadline
Final balance due:
July 1, 2028
All payments must be received by this date in order to maintain participation in the experience.
Failure to remain current on scheduled payments may result in suspension or cancellation of the reservation and release of reserved inventory.
Reservation & Cancellation Policy
Due to the intentionally limited and contractual nature of this gathering, all traveler payments made toward Roots & Return: The Gathering | Ghana 2028 are:
- non-refundable
- non-transferable
- non-exchangeable
- not eligible for future travel credit
Traveler payments are used to secure advance contractual commitments with hotels, transportation providers, destination partners, cultural hosts, and experience suppliers specifically on behalf of confirmed guests.
No refunds or credits will be issued for:
- cancellations
- personal schedule conflicts
- missed flights or airline disruptions
- passport or visa issues
- medical situations
- force majeure events
- unused portions of the experience
- or inability to travel for any reason
All reservations and traveler payments remain subject to the full Terms & Conditions acknowledged during booking and proposal confirmation.

Important Reservation Notes

- Reservations are secured on a first-confirmed basis
- Interest list participation does not hold a space
- Reservations are not fully confirmed until the complete deposit has been received
- Payment deadlines must be honored to maintain participation
- Electronic acknowledgments, payment authorizations, timestamps, and verification records may be retained for fraud prevention and reservation verification purposes
Travel Protection Strongly Recommended
Because all traveler payments are non-refundable and non-transferable, comprehensive travel protection is strongly recommended immediately following booking.
Recommended coverage may include:
- trip cancellation
- trip interruption
- emergency medical coverage
- medical evacuation
- baggage protection
- travel delays
- missed connections
- supplier default
- and Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) coverage where available
Travelers who decline coverage acknowledge full financial responsibility for cancellations, disruptions, delays, medical situations, and other unforeseen travel circumstances.
Coverage benefits, eligibility, exclusions, limitations, and claim determinations are governed solely by the insurance provider and policy terms.
