I'm Kareena Sweat, founder of Wanderlust Escapes, and I created this business because I wanted travel planning to feel different. I wanted my clients to have a trusted advisor who genuinely understands what they're trying to experience, anticipates the details they haven't considered, and remains invested in their journey from the moment we begin planning until they arrive safely back home.

Whether I'm helping a couple plan their destination wedding through The Vow Collective, hosting a small group on a luxury cultural journey, or designing a customized vacation for a family or couple, my goal is always the same. I want every client to feel confident, cared for, and completely present in the experience they've been looking forward to for months—or sometimes years.

Why I Started Wanderlust Escapes

Like many travelers, I've experienced both the excitement of discovering the world and the frustration that can come from trying to coordinate every moving piece on my own. I realized that planning a meaningful trip requires more than simply comparing prices or booking flights and hotels. It requires understanding people's priorities, asking the right questions, anticipating challenges before they happen, and creating an experience that reflects who they are.

That realization inspired me to build Wanderlust Escapes around relationships instead of transactions.

Today, my clients know they have someone in their corner who is invested in the success of their journey. They aren't navigating complex travel decisions alone, and they aren't left wondering who to call when something unexpected happens. They have an experienced advisor who is advocating for them every step of the way.

Through The Vow Collective, I help couples celebrate some of life's most important milestones, including destination weddings, honeymoons, surprise proposals, vow renewals, and romantic escapes. These celebrations deserve more than reservations and confirmations. They deserve thoughtful guidance, seamless coordination, and an advocate who understands just how significant these moments are.

I also curate hosted luxury journeys that bring together small groups of travelers who want more than a traditional vacation. These experiences are intentionally designed around culture, connection, and shared discovery. Whether we're exploring heritage in Ghana or experiencing another remarkable destination together, every itinerary is carefully crafted to create meaningful moments while allowing guests to travel comfortably and confidently.

In addition to my hosted experiences, I work with select clients to design personalized vacations and group travel experiences around the world. From luxury all-inclusive resorts and ocean and river cruises to milestone celebrations and multigenerational family trips, every itinerary is customized to reflect each client's travel style, interests, and goals.
